How to Redeem Cashback Rewards

Overview

Every time you use your Slash Card, you earn cashback on eligible purchases. Slash Pro members can earn up to 2% cashback, while Free plan members can earn up to 1.5%. Neither plan has a limit to how much cashback you can earn. Once your cashback accumulates, you can redeem it anytime to your Slash account, a linked bank account, or even directly to a saved contact.

This article walks you through checking your cashback balance and completing a redemption.

Viewing Your Cashback Balance

Your available cashback balance is displayed on the home dashboard in the Cashback widget, located in the top-right.

Clicking on the widget opens your cashback redemption options, your monthly earning history, and your Slash Card transactions that earned cashback. Cashback becomes available after the underlying card transaction settles, which typically takes around 1-3 business days.

How to Redeem Cashback

Step 1: Open the Cashback Panel

From your home dashboard, click the Cashback widget in the top-right. When it opens, you'll already be on the 'Redeem' panel; this is where you'll initiate your cashback redemption.

Step 2: Enter the Redemption Amount

Enter the amount you'd like to redeem. You can click the 'Max' button on the right side of the panel to auto-fill the maximum amount of cashback available to redeem.

Step 3: Select a Destination

Choose where you want the funds transferred. You can redeem cashback to:

• Your Slash account: Funds are deposited instantly with no fee
• A linked bank account: Standard ACH transfer fees may apply
• A saved contact: You can send your cashback directly to a contact stored in your Slash account

Step 4: Review and Confirm

Review the summary showing your redemption amount, payment method, and recipient. If transferring to an external account, any applicable fees will be displayed.

Step 5: Confirmation

After you click 'Redeem,' you'll see a confirmation screen with your redemption details. Click Done to close the panel. Funds transferred to your Slash account are available immediately.

Additional Considerations

• Minimum redemption: There is no minimum amount required to redeem cashback.
• Cashback rates: Your cashback rate depends on your subscription tier and may vary by merchant category. Your current cashback rate will be displayed on the 'Redeem' panel of the Cashback widget. To see your previous earn rates, navigate to the 'History' panel.
• Transaction history: You can view your cashback earning history with a monthly breakdown, including the cashback rate, amount earned, total spend, and any refunds.
