Adding Entities to Your Slash Account
Last updated April 9, 2026
Overview
Slash supports multi-entity management, meaning a single user login can manage multiple businesses from the same account. Whether you're an entrepreneur with several LLCs, a holding company operator managing subsidiaries, or an agency handling client-specific accounts, adding entities to your Slash account lets you manage all of them from one unified dashboard without needing separate logins or accounts.
An "entity" in Slash represents a distinct legal business. Each entity maintains its own accounts, cards, transactions, team members, and permissions — completely separate from your other entities. You can switch between entities instantly using the entity sidebar on the left side of your dashboard.
Who Can Add Entities?
Any user listed as an owner or an admin can can add a new entity to an existing Slash account. There are no limits to the number of entities you can add to a single user login. Each new entity goes through its own application and verification process, so approval of one entity does not guarantee approval of another.
How to Add a New Entity to Your Slash Account
Step 1: Open the Entity Sidebar
On the top-left of your Slash dashboard, you'll see the name of your current entity with two arrow icons next to it. Click your entity name, and a dropdown menu will appear displaying the names of all your active entities (if you have any).
At the bottom of the list, you'll see the option 'Open new Slash account.' This will take you to the account opening page where you can start a new application.
Step 2: Complete the Application
From here, you'll fill out a Slash application like you normally would for your additional business entity. Make sure that you use the details for your additional business, not your current business listed in Slash.
If you start an application but don't finish it, you can return to it at any time.
Step 3: Identity Verification
Each new entity requires identity verification for its beneficial owners through Persona, Slash's identity verification partner.
Step 4: Submit the Application
After completing all required fields and uploading necessary documentation, review your application for accuracy and submit it.
What Happens After You Submit
Once submitted, your application enters Slash's review process:
- Submitted: Your application has been received and is queued for review
- Under Review: Slash's compliance team is evaluating your application
- Approved: Your entity has been approved and your selected products are being activated
- Completed: Your entity is fully set up with all accounts and products active
Most applications are processed within 1–3 business days.
Additional Information
- Separate Financial Records: Each entity maintains completely independent accounts, balances, transactions, and cards.
- Per-Entity Billing: Subscription tiers and billing are configured at the entity level.
- API Access: Each entity has its own API keys and configuration.
